The Event

On November 18, 2023, at the Divani Caravel Hotel, the Greek Bible College celebrated its 50-year journey of ministry, placing emphasis on the role of God's faithfulness in its history.

The anniversary event, marked by a tone of gratitude and appreciation towards all contributors, gathered alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to acknowledge the institution's history and its enduring impact on the Evangelical and broader community. The success was attributed to God's faithfulness.

The program began with a heartfelt welcome from the hosts of the evening, recognizing God's work in Greece through the College. Speeches by the College professors underscored its role in the past, present, and future, emphasizing the transformative nature of biblical education and its inseparable connection to effective ministry. Alumni then shared personal stories, highlighting the impact of the College on their lives and ministries.

The evening focused on the pioneers who laid the foundation of the College, acknowledging God's guidance in their endeavors. Therefore, one of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of honorary awards to the founders - Robert & Maria Hill, John & Joyce Friezen, and Bill & Marion Baldwin. These visionaries were honored for their central role in shaping the College and their dedication to theological education over the years. Honorary awards were also given to representatives of all the past directors of the College, the missionaries of GEM who served it, and the Churches of the Evangelical Community. Special recognition was extended to the faculty and staff who dedicated themselves to supporting the College community, both in study and in the dissemination of the Word of God.

During the event, a brief video was screened, featuring photographic material that illuminated the historical landmarks of the College from its founding to the present day. The video underscored the College's contributions to ministry work in Greece and globally.
