On-line Courses
As of 2025, we decided to offer one more way of studying in our program, online courses. Every semester, some of the courses from the in-person program, with priority on first-year courses, are also offered online. Our desire with these courses is to help all those interested in deepening even further their knowledge of the Word of God and strengthening their path in ministry through GrBC courses, but who cannot attend in-person classes as their work conditions and/or place of residence prevent them.
Online courses combine engagement with rich digital material available on our educational platform with a one-hour online meeting per week via an electronic platform, offering a complete hybrid learning experience. Overall, they require the participant to dedicate an average of about 5-6 hours weekly. Upon completion of each course, the student will have the opportunity to acquire ECTS credits, thus continuing their academic progress in an official and internationally recognized way.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. In which language are the online courses conducted?
The courses are conducted in Greek. If any courses have readings or supporting material in English, this will be stated in the announcement with the description of the respective course. Students who are not fluent in English are encouraged to use digital translation tools if needed and to communicate with the professor in charge.
2. Are the courses synchronous or asynchronous?
The courses use a combination of synchronous and asynchronous methods. Each week, the student is initially asked to prepare on the weekly course material and complete certain learning activities on their own time. Subsequently, they are required to participate in a one-hour online meeting at a set time for material processing and further clarifications. The exact day and time of these meetings are determined jointly by the professors and the students.
3. Are absences allowed during online meetings?
The one-hour online meetings are mandatory, with the flexibility of two allowable absences per course, in cases of special need.
4. How much time per week does someone need to dedicate to complete the online courses?
We estimate that each student will need an average of about 5-6 hours of involvement for each week of the course. Everyone’s pace is different, but our material is prepared with this time frame in mind.
5. How often do online courses start?
At the beginning of each academic semester, online courses also begin (early September and early January). Here you can see the courses offered this semester.
6. Which platform is used for the teaching material?
For the course material, we use the Moodle platform, modified to meet our requirements for the best possible teaching experience. Students receive instructions regarding how to log in and use the platform prior to the start of each online course.
7. Will I have access to the material after the end of the course?
Access to the course and its material lasts until the end of the course, with some grace period set by the instructor of each course. Notes and certain articles will be available for electronic download for the duration of the course. Recorded lectures are not available for download, only for viewing.
8. How much does each course cost and how do I pay?
The tuition fee is €255 for each course. The cost includes notes, access to the Perlego digital library, access to online material, etc.

9. Will I need any specialized equipment to attend the course?
You will simply need a computer or tablet with a camera, as well as headphones with a microphone and an internet connection.
