The Greek Bible College offers Modern Greek Language courses for those living and/or serving or working in a Greek speaking context interested in learning Greek as a foreign language. For detailed information regarding the content and goals of the language courses, click here.
► Fall & Spring Semesters 2026-2027
For the academic year 2026-2027, we will be offering classes for levels A, B and B+ .
Each level includes 6 hours of class and added hours for homework which vary for each level.

- The location of the class is subject to change. We like to take into consideration the students’ preference based on how easily they can access the location. We have the option of holding classes in downtown Athens, if it serves the majority of students. Those interested are encouraged to state their preference in their communication with us. However, we are not always able to accommodate.
- The Level B2+ course is targeted at students who have completed Levels B1&B2 and want to expand their vocabulary, speaking and language skills in general, and at students who aim to take the examinations for the Certification of Attainment in Greek.
- The classes are based on a minimum number of students. If this minimum is not met, a supplemental fee may apply. If enrollment is insufficient, the course may be cancelled.
► Intensive Summer Course 2027

The courses are structured in such a way as to be instructive to students of all levels.
In the summer courses, students delve into the following areas:
- Comprehensive oral practice
- Consolidation of acquired knowledge
- Familiarization with Greek history, culture, and the customs of the people of Greece.
- Basic instruction on the history of the Evangelical church in Greece and the country’s ministerial principles
All the summer courses are intensive. They require daily study, practice and discipline. Students are advised to take some time off from their work or other occupation, so that they can respond to the course’s requirements.

If you are interested in any of our Modern Greek language courses, please contact us informing us of the level you wish to achieve (greek.language@grbc.gr). You can then proceed with the application, which is the same for all the programs of the College.

Please note:
- The classes are based on a minimum number of students. If this minimum is not met, a supplemental fee may apply. You will be notified in a timely manner should such a situation arise.
- If the minimum number of required students is met, a discount for couples is available.
- We advise all our students to complete all the courses, to attain a complete command of the respective level.
- Not included in the price are textbooks, supplies and possible expenses for tickets to museums/archaeological sites.
